Property and community are really about people.  McMillan is a people company that is very much a part of the community.

 

While we have spacious and well-apportioned offices at the heart of Glengormley, we are involved in the community at many different levels and in many different areas; from supporting our local schools to our chosen charities.

 

With this in mind there are a number of community projects and local charities that we support on an ongoing basis. The company has raised over £25,000 for our four main charities: the Northern Ireland Hospice, which has been our main charity since the launch of the business, the Simon Community, Saint Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army.  We are also happy to support Corrymeela.

 

McMillan continues to be the main sponsors of St Mary's Football Club in Glengormley and has also provided Whitehouse Boys’ Brigade with their football strips.  We also encourage members of staff to gift their time to projects in local schools and the community.

 

Jim promotes Trading Standards and has lectured as a guest to final year students at the University of Ulster in Estate Management. As a former President of Glengormley Chamber of Commerce he has played a very active part in the promotion of the Borough he is very much a part of.  Jim is also a committee member of the IAVI.
